Bought these for my 1st grader and he started wearing them on the first day of school. It is now 6 months later, and my son needs a new pair because he has grown out of them, but the shoes are still in EXCELLENT condition. They are basically as good as the day he started wearing them. Nothing has come apart (not sure what happened with the other reviewer where they started falling apart, could have just been a defective pair), I will continue to purchase more pairs of these, they are TOTALLY worth the extra cost.
